In modern conditions, an important factor is cooperation with the international scientific community and international academic mobility. An important document on the way to consolidate efforts in this direction was the standing resolution of the European Council of Ministers of Education of 24 May 1988 on the launch of a transnational project called "European Dimension in Education". This resolution is designed to involve EU countries in the creation of a national program, which aims to:
- to develop in young people a sense of European unity, respect for the common cultural heritage and principles based on the fact that the peoples of Europe protect human rights, the principles of democracy and social justice (Copenhagen Declaration of 1978); to prepare young people for active participation in economic and social development;
- point out to young people the benefits of EU economic and social policy;
- to deepen the knowledge of young people on the historical, cultural, economic and social aspects of the development of the commonwealth.
EMU also actively works in this direction, has agreements on international cooperation, encourages teachers and educators to participate in international conferences and internships.

26-27 of July 2022 the delegation of the European Medical University represented by the rector Serhiy Abramov and the vice-rector for international relations Serhiy Sokolovskyi made a working visit to the Republic of Lithuania in order to develop and improve the effectiveness of educational and research work at the European Medical University, within the limits of the approved inter-university memorandum.
During the visit, a working meeting was held with the rector of Klaipeda University, prof. Arturas Razbadauskas, during which the issues of quality training of higher education students and other possible areas of cooperation were considered, the functioning of research laboratories and promising developments of innovative hardware technologies were introduced.
Also, during the visit to the Republic of Lithuania, a meeting was held with the director of one of the Klaipeda medical centers, Lorna Loreto Bosien. After meeting the delegation got acquainted with the rehabilitation possibilities of the medical center.
The results of the working visit allow us to consider an opportunity mastering the practical skills of higher education students of the European Medical University during practice in the Republic of Lithuania.
- In April-June 2019 in Lublin, Poland, an international practical conference "Innovative and innovative methods of teaching in medicine" was held. The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Iryna Pisarevska and the Deputy Dean Maria Kopatska attended this conference, where Polish colleagues shared their experiences in organizing a simulation center on the basis of the Lublin Medical University, experience in teaching and research.
- In July 2021, EMU joined the International Association of Universities (IAU). The International Association of Universities, established under the auspices of UNESCO in 1950, is an organization that serves the world community of higher education through the analysis of experiences and trends, publications and portals, advisory services, training, various activities.
