Library of EMU

The library of EMU, as well as the university itself, has been operating since 1993.
Since then, its users have been thousands of users: graduates, teachers, employees of the university.

Today our library are sityated by 2 addresses: Titiva str. 10 and Ievropeiska str. 15, 
has a reading room that is equipped with computer equipment to access the Internet.

  1. Google books  The Google Library contains more than 15 million books, available in full text or available for viewing in just a few pages.
  2. Google Scholar  Full-text search of scientific literature on the Internet by various fields of knowledge and by various sources, including peer-reviewed articles, dissertations, books, abstracts and reports published by scientific literature publishers, professional associations, higher education institutions and other scientific organizations.
  3. PubMed Bibliographic databases of the National Medical Library (USA) and the National Institutes of Health (USA) covering various medical disciplines.
  4. SpringerOpen A Springer publishing project that publishes and provides free access to more than 200 peer-reviewed journals and more than 40 books in the natural sciences and medicine.
  5. Medknow  The largest publisher of open access medical journals is a project by global publisher Wolters Kluwer Health. Publishes and provides free access to more than 350 peer-reviewed journals.
  6. Acronym Finder  The largest and most complete reference database of acronyms and abbreviations, containing more than 1 million abbreviations and their meanings.
  7. BioMed Central   The database contains materials from 290 peer-reviewed open access journals in biology, medicine, technology and related sciences, some of which are indexed by Thomson Reuters (ISI) and have a high Impact Factor. All publisher articles are indexed in Scopus and Google Scholar.
    Bookshelf Database of the US National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), which presents books on biomedicine.
  8. Cambridge University Press  The database covers various fields of knowledge, including biology and biomedical sciences, physiology, psychology and psychiatry, ecology and others.
  9. ClinVar Search database The National Biotechnology Information Center (NCBI) database, which provides public access to information on the relationship between clinical manifestations of disease and human phenotypes.
  10. Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) The Directory of Open Access Scientific Journals provides access to approximately 9,000 full-text peer-reviewed scientific and academic journals from all fields of knowledge and in a variety of languages.
  11. EBSCO – AHFS Consumer Medication Information The authoritative source and recognized standard of information on medicines for patients, available in English and Spanish. Published by the American Society of Healthcare Pharmacists (AHFS), the resource includes more than a thousand monographs on drug information.
  12. eMPendium  The electronic version of the Compendium "Internal Medicine" by the famous Polish therapist Andrzej Szczekly is an evidence-based medical database on internal medicine, a portal for doctors.
  13. Free Medical Journals  Catalog of open access medical journals. More than 5,000 journal titles can be selected by subject category, by impact factor, by language (English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Turkish, etc.), alphabetically, by embargo period (full text access), etc.
  14. FreeFullPDF  Search system of electronic resources in the field of medicine, biology, chemistry, physics, materials science and economics. Provides free access to scientific journals, dissertations, posters and patents.
